Richard Simmons
Is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, whose primary research interests include entrepreneurial growth, life-science commercialisation, monetary theory and firm level access to finance, supply chain and international trade dynamics, and economic crisis tipping points. He has a special interest in associating theory with its practical application thereby identifying frameworks that enable and drive growth in a rapidly changing and decoupling world. Richard runs sessions on innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation for a group of PhD students and post-docs from leading UK Universities as part of the UK EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science.
Richard's background is an economist who has combined his academic research with senior business roles across the globe. These include having been a member of the launch teams that successfully launched what are arguably three of the most significant global product / market disruptions of the last forty years.
